Prior to founding MacLeod Family Law, Erika worked at a full service law firm in Toronto, Ontario, a boutique litigation law firm in Fergus, Ontario, and she articled at a full service law firm in Guelph, Ontario. Erika has also held legal positions with the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General, Pro Bono Students Canada, and the University of Ottawa Community Legal Aid Clinic.
Erika has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa, a Masters Degree from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelors Degree from Brock University.
